Al Qaeda: Are they never going to target something ?

Al Qaeda will be the name synonymous with the Viet Cong with some differences of course, but there is a war and there are sneaky and devious factions. This day and age travel is immensely easier to take terror to your doorstep and you will know more about it by the media.

The Viet Cong stuck to their boundaries for the most part and traveling was an obscure thought, after all the fight was in their country. Period. This was when the media reported and not sensationalized a war that had no winning sides. The media that gave people insight to it's atrocities were the brave ones that made it back. As with any war, these eyewitness reports were from people we knew.

So the topic is, "are they never going to target something" ? The answer would seem to be in the media, watch the news. They are always targeting something , here, there or anywhere for that matter. The news about an Al Qaeda bombing, threat or new video is like a broken record or a tv series rerun. One can only wonder what they were thinking when the thought of no more Saddam court news would come about with his hanging.

The disservice upon our armed service personnel to keep putting them in harms way with no plan of ending this madness is unfathomable. They are following orders and within those orders, trying to stay alive. No one will disagree that there are far better projects to use our armed services personnel for than to perpetuate a war we can not and will not win.
