Probably more than anything that creates passion about a subject, is the fact that it is mangled by the people involved. People, persons, you pick but the fact still remains that the subject has been marred, twisted, scorched till it's unrecognizable.

Oh by the way, Burt Orange, is a pen name and is in no way meant to mean a real Burt Orange if there happens to be one. So give Burt a break, it's the Patriotic thing to do.

What opinion is boiling today ?

Friends I am back after a long hiatus of campaigning for our rights and freedoms. Seems some writings of mine have struck a nerve in some political circles, so I figure why not strike those same nerves over again with conviction.

A summarization will have to do this time around, even though it seems longer than a summary. Do we need to comment about the banking bailout ? No, see the government opinion page, I called it, the banking bailout was getting geared up at the FDIC. Do we need to comment about the automobile companies bailout ? No, see the opinion about crude. What then you ask will I comment about ? How about our current favorite for comments, Obama. Just think of the updates to word processor dictionaries across the world. Updates would do us more good if he would update his modus operandi instead of using the standard operating procedure for the past 16 or so years. He promises change and he delivered. Changed some symbols, wants to change the oath of a soldier from to the nation to just the president, changing relations of outright combatants to our country to open arms. One more smoke and mirror trick is talk about removing troops from Iraq and they probably will be removed. Where they will be placed is another, nothing up my sleeve, question.

The wool, as they say, is being pulled lower and lower over the eyes. We are in the vapors of a boiling pot of a big depression. The problem is we have someone at the wheel of the ship that can not tell an iceberg from an island.
